Santa Giustina: Fusion of Ancient Agricultural Knowledge & Modern Technological Innovations in Making Wines
Forty years ago, Antonio and Gloria fell in love with an ancient religious settlement, surrounded by the charm of time and the energy of luxuriant nature and decided to restore it to its former glory, that’s when Santa Giustina was born. Respect for nature and passion for beauty are the values on which the company is founded.
Today, their son and daughter continue the dream of their parents. Gaia, who has turned Santa Giustina into a modern winery, with the help of her brother Nicolò. The winery is the result of the Bucciarelli family’s passion for the local area and ancient traditions.
Santa Giustina is located in Piacenza, on the high ground above Pianello Val Tidone. It is a winery set on land covering over 100 hectares. 30 hectares of the vineyards are producing Barbera, Bonarda, Ortrugo, Malvasia, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir grapes. These are the vines were the unmistakable Piancenza DOC wines and fine international blends came from. Wines are created through a clever fusion of ancient agricultural knowledge and modern technological innovations, all with total respect for the naturalness and sustainability of living.
The company has just recently joined America Wines Awards 2020. Here is the list of their wines that received an award:
