Château La Grave: Producer of Elegant and Finesse Wines

Château La Grave is a wine estate located in the Minervois near Carcassonne and produces red, rosé, and white wines for four generations. The estate is managed by Josiane and Jean-Pierre Orosquette and also became a smallholding, maintained by a whole line of winegrowers who are dedicated to producing wines.

Their very predominant grape variety is Maccabeu, very appreciated for its aromas, which allows La Grave to obtain a good reputation for its white wines and its legendary grape variety. Today, their son Jean-François took over. While continuing to produce excellent white wines, he has also developed red and rosé wines by bringing them elegance and finesse. And the 3rd generation of the family Tristan and Julien produces its wines under 3 appellations (white, rosé, and red).

Château La Grave has recently joined America Wine Awards 2021 and has received 3 Gold Awards and a Silver Award, awarded by AmericaWinesPaper.com.

GOLD AWARDED PRODUCTS:

Château La Grave – Expression Rouge 2017
Majority Syrah, Grenache and Carignan Vieilles Vignes for this Cuvée Expression. A cherry red color with garnet reflections. Delicate and fine, the nose enchants us with its scents of candied cherries, pepper, and garrigue. The mouth reveals an ample and powerful evolution, supported by a tannic nobility with flavors of licorice and fruit.

Domaine La Grave – Marselan 2018
Marselan is a black wine grape variety, resulting from the cross between the Cabernet-Sauvignon and Grenache Noir grape varieties. It is installed at Château La Grave on dry soils in which this grape variety is best expressed. Harvested quite late, it gives us a very colorful wine, full-bodied but the tannins are supple. It is also very aromatic (black fruit, blackberry) and has good aging potential.

Tristan et Julien 2018
Youth characterizes this wine, from its visual aspect, with its beautiful purple color. The olfactory notes reveal subtle scents of blackberry, blackcurrant, and wild violet. Its luscious mouth reveals velvety tannins extending the pleasure to infinity.
A real seducer!
