Chateau Haut-Pougnan is located in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers, near Créon. It lies on the slopes of the right bank of the Garonne, on superb clay-limestone and gravelly soils. It is the clay-limestone nature of these soils which makes it possible to obtain very fine wines with such a subtle bouquet.
The eastern and southern slopes are home to red wine vineyards, while the western slopes remain the domain of white wines.
Chateau Haut-Pougnan has recently joined America Wines Awards 2020 and 3 or their wines received a Gold award which was awarded by AmericaWinesPaper.com.
Here are their wines that won a Gold award:
Chateau Haut Pougnan AOC Bordeaux Rouge 2018
Chateau Haut Pougnan AOC Bordeaux Blanc 2019
Chateau Les Moutins AOC Bordeaux Blanc 2019
Their robust, fruity red wine has a well-calculated tannicity, while the white wine has great finesse and a remarkable bouquet. Entre-Deux-Mers of pleasure and wonderful support. And their rosé wine with a light robe and a fine nose ends up on the fruity, lively and robust mouth.
